Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to advance Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices across Workplace platforms. You will implement and mature Terraform/Atmos usage, design GitHub Actions pipelines, and guide teams on provider usage and lifecycle.

You will also develop automation frameworks, integrate systems via REST APIs, and partner with security and networking to elevate delivery quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Atmos, or similar).
  • Proficiency in software development.
  • Experience integrating systems using REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Git-based workflows, code review, and reusable modules/templates.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, telemetry, and observability concepts.
  • Experience supporting enterprise endpoints/platforms (Windows, macOS, MDM, VDI, M365) is a plus.
  • 3–5+ years in DevOps, automation, or platform engineering.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across teams, influence standards, and coach others.
  • Willingness to learn multiple languages.
  • Strong planning, organization, and delivery discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Build and mature Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and Atmos across Workplace platforms.
  • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines aligned to standards, including quality gates and deployment safety.
  • Identify and operationalize Terraform providers and integrations; guide teams on usage and lifecycle.
  • Onboard platform teams to Terraform/Atmos and GitHub-based delivery, including repository structure and guardrails.
  • Create shared automation frameworks and self-service tooling to reduce manual work.
  • Develop integrations across endpoint, mobility, VDI, and Microsoft 365 platforms using APIs and scripting.
  • Improve release quality and platform stability through automated validation and observability.
  • Partner with platform engineers, security, infra, and networking to embed automation-first practices.
  • Champion DevOps culture and continuous improvement across Workplace Engineering.

Job description

  • Build and mature Infrastructure as Code practices across Workplace platforms using Terraform and Atmos, enabling teams to manage systems “as code.”
  • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines (primarily GitHub Actions) aligned to GTO standards, including quality gates, promotion patterns, and deployment safety mechanisms.
  • Identify, evaluate, and operationalize Terraform providers and integrations for Workplace platforms; guide teams on provider usage, patterns, and lifecycle management.
  • Onboard platform teams to Terraform/Atmos and GitHub-based delivery, including repository structure, workflow templates, environment strategy, and guardrails.
  • Create shared automation frameworks and self-service tooling to reduce manual operational work and improve delivery speed and consistency.
  • Develop integrations and automation services using APIs and scripting (PowerShell/Python) across endpoint, mobility, VDI, and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Improve release quality and platform stability through automated validation, testing patterns, observability, and disciplined release governance.
  • Partner closely with platform engineers, security, infrastructure, and networking teams to embed automation-first practices and standard engineering patterns.
  • Challenge the status quo, drive process improvements, and champion a strong DevOps and engineering culture across Workplace Engineering.
Requirements
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Atmos, or similar frameworks)
  • Proficiency in software development
