Job summary

QuantumScape Battery, Inc. is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to own cell-to-product electrical testing, characterization, qualification, and validation.

You will design tests, develop stress protocols, and build predictive models to drive quality from prototype to production, with an emphasis on scalable test capability and data-driven decisions. You will collaborate across process, materials, design, and systems engineering to ensure robust test coverage, while shaping qualification

Qualifications

• MS degree in a related engineering field with 3+ years of experience (or PhD offset).
• Hands-on electrical testing across cell/module/product levels.
• Experience with reliability testing and DPPM reduction.
• Proficiency in scripting for test algorithms and models.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and interpret electrical tests spanning cell, module, and product levels.
• Develop new tests and protocols to extend capability and coverage.
• Lead root-cause analysis linking test data to root causes with cross-functional teams.
• Own Qual and Rel test plans including pass/fail criteria and sample sizing.
• Drive down DPPM by identifying failure modes and implementing countermeasures.
• Develop and validate stress tests and screening protocols to accelerate defect detection.
• Validate performance against specifications and support prototype-to-production transition.
• Partner with engineering teams to specify and procure test equipment and dashboards.
