Job summary

TechDigital Group seeks a QA Engineer to perform functional, system, integration and regression testing of broadband gateways and connected devices. You will validate device functionality across firmware/software releases and test core gateway features like provisioning, connectivity, configuration, diagnostics and device management.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of software/QA testing experience, preferably with connected devices or networking equipment.
• Hands-on testing of broadband gateways, routers, modems, or similar embedded devices.
• Strong testing and troubleshooting methodologies for devices.
• Firmware/software validation and regression testing experience.
• Good understanding of IP networking concepts.
• Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting issues.
• REST APIs and basic scripting experience.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing of broadband gateways and connected devices.
• Validate device functionality across different firmware and software releases.
• Test gateway features including provisioning, connectivity, configuration, diagnostics, and device management.
• Execute end-to-end testing involving gateways, network components, apps, and backend services.
• Troubleshoot device and connectivity issues by analyzing logs, behavior, and results.
• Collaborate with development and firmware teams to identify and reproduce defects.
• Conduct testing in hardware and lab environments with device setup and firmware upgrades.
• Gain hands-on experience with test automation; use PyTest, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Validate device communication via REST APIs, serial/UART, and other interfaces.
• Develop and execute test cases from product specs; maintain documentation & defect reports.
• Participate in defect triage and provide detailed technical information to teams.
• Support regression testing across firmware/product releases; extend test coverage with scripting.
