We are seeking an experienced Drive Test Engineer with strong expertise in device testing across lab and field environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wireless protocols, network emulators, and drive testing tools, and will validate devices, analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless device performance across multiple networks.
Responsibilities
- Perform device testing in both lab and field (drive test) environments.
- Validate devices on production networks and using network emulators (Spirent, Keysight, etc.).
- Conduct device build upgrades and perform validation testing.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret logs for troubleshooting and performance validation.
- Report and track issues using tools like JIRA and dashboards, ensuring timely closure.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams for problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
- Perform SIM reading and updates for testing requirements.
- Utilize tools such as QCAT, XCAL, and JIRA for debugging and test analysis.
- Provide detailed problem reports and follow up with stakeholders.
- Travel for drive testing as per project needs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi, LTE, and/or 5G protocols.
- Hands-on experience with third-party network emulators (Spirent / Keysight, etc.).
- Proven experience in device validation across lab and field testing.
- Proficiency in log collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in device build upgrade and validation processes.
- Familiarity with tools like QCAT, XCAL, JIRA, and dashboards.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle problem reporting, escalation, and follow-up effectively.
- Flexibility to travel for drive test execution as required.
