WHOOP in Boston is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to build and lead a Device Experience Software team serving member-facing screens and backend services in the app. You will hire and mentor engineers, define the team charter, steer architecture across app and backend, and establish a reliable delivery cadence with cross-functional partners.

Work spans hardware/software boundaries, including coordination with Product, Design, Quality, firmware, and analytics to deliver cohesive experiences

Formación

• Strong technical foundation in consumer application development and backend systems.
• Experience leading technical planning and delivery in ambiguous environments.
• Experience aligning cross-functional partners on scope, priorities, and release plans.

Responsabilidades

• Build, manage, and mentor a new team of application and backend engineers through hiring, onboarding, feedback, performance management, and career development.
• Define the team mission, ownership boundaries, technical direction, and operating model with Product, Design, Quality, and engineering leadership.
• Own end-to-end software experience for managing a WHOOP device in the app, including member-facing screens and backend services and APIs.
• Guide architecture decisions and establish practices for development, testing, release readiness, observability, privacy, security, and operational ownership.
• Establish planning and delivery cadence to make scope, dependencies, progress, and risk visible to partners and leaders.
• Collaborate with Connectivity, Firmware, Hardware, Client Platform, Analytics, and other teams to deliver cohesive experiences across devices.
