Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Technician in Wisconsin to support device configuration, deployment, inventory management, and shipping operations. This role blends hands-on computer setup with logistics and requires precise adherence to documented processes.

Responsibilities include provisioning Windows-based devices with Autopilot, updating records, handling ITSM tickets, and maintaining accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• Basic device configuration experience.
• Exposure to Intune.
• Ticketing ITSM tool experience (Autotask preferred).
• Ability to follow documented build processes.
• Comfortable with light physical work.
• Imaging/SCCM experience.
• Previous deployment or similar hands‑on IT support background.

Responsibilities

• Configure and provision devices using Autopilot and documented build procedures.
• Follow build documentation to set language, keyboard, and system settings.
• Access client databases and update device information and status records.
• Manage ticket updates and documentation in an ITSM platform (Autotask preferred).
• Perform shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and asset management activities.
• Process returned/terminated devices, including testing and redeployment preparation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and deployment records with high attention to detail.
