Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate nursing care, provide patient/family education, and support transitions of care. The role emphasizes leadership within the Nursing Professional Practice Model and may include committee involvement.

The schedule is full-time, with 4 x 10 hour shifts weekly and orientation lasting about six months. Days to include a mix of hours; on-call and weekend rotations are possible. BLS is required; ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

RN with baccalaureate nursing degree from an accredited program.
At least 1 year RN experience in applicable care setting or 1 year LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
BSN evidence within five years for certain hires.
5 years RN Cardiovascular nursing or Device Clinic experience.
Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care and patient/family education.
Provide leadership and participate in quality improvement activities.
Delegate patient care according to skill, patient acuity, and resources.
Perform duties in alignment with Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
Possibly drive personal vehicle as part of role.
