Job summary

Cboe Global Markets, CCUS Software Engineering is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-trust team and drive platform improvements. You will own developer experience end to end, from delivery pipelines through observability and production readiness.

You will collaborate with security and platform stakeholders to align roadmaps with team needs, measure delivery outcomes, and raise reliability across the production stack.

Qualifications

• Ownership of developer experience end to end, from delivery pipelines through observability and production readiness.
• Experience leading platform, developer experience, infrastructure or reliability engineering teams.
• Hiring and growing a team from a small base.
• Treating an internal platform as a product with engineers as customers.
• Ability to measure and tune delivery as a system with supporting practices.
• Reliability engineering experience including SLOs, error budgets and incident practices.

Responsibilities

• Leading and growing a team of engineers, including performance management and hiring.
• Removing platform work from other teams' plates to keep engineers on domain problems.
• Treating developer experience as an internal product with engineers as customers.
• Setting platform strategy and aligning roadmaps to delivery needs.
• Owning CI pipelines in GitHub Actions and integration with deployment tooling.
• Voice of application developers to central platform team; ensure tooling matches needs.
• Instrumenting delivery pipelines and services to measure health and production outcomes.
• Defining service level objectives and leading the team to an error budget.
• Holding a standard that repeated manual work gets automated.
• Improving deployment frequency, lead time, and change failure rates.
• Running reliability drills, disaster recovery design and tests.
