Job summary

Development Workshop, Inc. is seeking a Developmental Specialist for the Adult Life Program. The role involves overseeing growth of individuals with developmental disabilities, mentoring staff, and supporting crisis de-escalation.

Strong communication and leadership skills are required. Starting wage is $17.50 per hour, DOE. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with hours not to exceed 40 per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field is required.
• Competency examination completion may be required depending on the program.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee growth and development of individuals with developmental disabilities through data analysis, program planning, and implementation.
• Provide guidance and support to skills trainers through mentoring and feedback.
• Assist with crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and positive support.
• Support staffing needs when issues arise.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies.
