People, Incorporated in Fall River, MA seeks a Developmental Specialist to coordinate service plans for adults with developmental disabilities. You will manage daily data, implement goals, and support individuals across activities while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to escort, assist, and/or transport program participants.
• Ability to work with mental health and/or developmentally disabled individuals.
• Ability to complete and disseminate all required forms and documents.
• Ability to assist and/or support consumers in emergencies requiring full physical assistance.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and directions.

Responsibilities

• Recommend service plan goals and complete annual severity profiles and assessments.
• Complete daily data sheets, including behavior services documentation.
• Implement service plan goals, including therapeutic goals.
• Inform supervisor or nursing staff of unusual behavior, illness or injury.
• Ensure schedules are followed and individuals are engaged in activities.
• Follow protocols for toileting, dining, dietary, Pica, behavior, seizure, and safety.
• Complete monthly progress reports of service plan goals.
• Maintain required trainings and participate in team meetings.
• Implement curriculum per individual service plans.
• Ensure positive behavior supports are applied.
• Maintain expertise in day habilitation through education and trainings.
• Participate in weekend/holiday coverage as needed.
• Attend all staff meetings and required trainings.
• Maintain program and agency trainings.
