Job summary

Pinecrest Supports & Services Center in Pineville, LA is seeking a dedicated Developmentalist to perform diversified and technical tasks within its care programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The position requires two years of experience in care, guidance, or education of a group of children or adults, with eligibility for experience substitutions by college credits as described in the job specs.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the care, guidance, or education of a group of children or adults.
• EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residential Services Specialist 5 (RSS 5) in the direct care of people with developmental disabilities, implementing and directing active treatment plans by providing care, guidance, training, and habilitation ensuring the people we we serve are safe, use their environments, and interact with others in the community.
• Assist Habilitation Instructor 1 in implementing class activities and class matching décor. Complete assignments of related duties necessary for smooth operation of the classroom in the Day Program.
• Prepare required documentation of training records/progress reports for IDT monthly. Assist RSS 5 in evaluating needed skill levels and set objectives required per individual in the classroom.
• Maintain classroom/building area by keeping it clean and maintenance free at all times. Follow individual building cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are clean accordingly.
• Report individual incidents/accidents and suspected cases of abuse/neglect to proper authorities in a timely manner.
