Job summary

Pinecrest Supports & Services Center in Pineville, LA seeks a DEVELOPMENTALIST to perform diversified and technical tasks within the Day Program. The role focuses on direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and support needs.

You will assist in implementing treatment plans, support classroom activities, and maintain accurate training records while promoting safety and community integration for those served.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the care, guidance, or education of a group of children or adults.
• Experience substitution: every 30 semester hours earned substitutes for one year of experience.
• Willingness to work in Pinecrest Supports & Services Center and adhere to state civil service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residential Services Specialist 5 in direct care and implementing active treatment plans.
• Assist Habilitation Instructor 1 with class activities and in classroom operations.
• Prepare documentation of training records and progress reports monthly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of classroom and building areas.
• Report incidents/accidents and suspected abuse to proper authorities promptly.
