Job summary

Milestone Inc. is seeking a caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living, treatment, and recreational activities. You will implement prescribed programs, assist with personal care, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include accurate charting, reporting health changes, and participating in team meetings. Prior experience as a nurse’s aide or in personal care is preferred, and a habilitation aide certification is

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the TABE test.
• Ability to intervene physically in behavioral or health crises.
• Habilitation aide certification completion required.
• Nurse’s aide experience or some personal care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, treatment and safety for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Execute personal care tasks as required.
• Participate in activity therapy programs and leisure activities.
• Maintain accurate records for all programs and behaviors.
• Document seizures, injuries, toileting, intake, weight and medical emergencies promptly.
• Notify supervising staff and nursing personnel as needed.
• Assist with daily living skills and adherence to individual plans.
• Ensure safety during emergencies and follow disaster procedures.
