Job summary

Harper College is seeking tutors for the Developmental Math Center to support developmental Math and co-requisite courses (e.g., Math 065, Math 101, Math 103). Tutors demonstrate subject proficiency, help students understand material, and apply basic study techniques while keeping records of students tutored.

The Academic Support Center oversees tutoring and support services, offering a collaborative environment for student success.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required; previous experience teaching at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate or graduate mathematics.
  • Knowledge of TI graphing calculators, and familiarity with instructional technology preferred.
  • Experience tutoring developmental or college-level math is desirable.
