Job summary

Holding Hands Inc. is seeking a part-time Developmental Interventionist in Whittier, CA. You will deliver DIR®/Floortime™ interventions 1:1, supporting social, emotional, and developmental growth through play-based activities.

We value collaboration with a clinical team, commitment to developmental progress, and opportunities to grow into full-time roles. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour with PTO and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (in a related field).
• 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation required.

• Facilitate social, emotional, and developmental growth through play-based interactions.
• Implement individualized, relationship-based activities tailored to each client.

At Holding Hands, our Developmental Interventionists use relationship-based approaches to help individuals grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally. As a Developmental Interventionist, you will deliver individualized care using the DIR®/Floortime™ model across home, school, clinic, and community settings while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Developmental Interventionist Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and supporting developmental growth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• 1 year of experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DIR®/Floortime™, ABA, or early childhood development
• Master’s degree in a related field
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental differences
