Job summary

Holding Hands Inc. is seeking a part-time Developmental Interventionist in East Los Angeles, CA. You will deliver DIR/Floortime-based 1:1 interventions across home, school, clinic, and community settings as part of a collaborative clinical team.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience, with opportunities to grow into full-time roles and participate in ongoing training and development.

As a Developmental Interventionist, you will deliver individualized care using the DIR®/Floortime™ model across home, school, clinic, and community settings while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities as a Developmental Interventionist:

• Provide 1:1 DIR®/Floortime™ intervention
• Facilitate social, emotional, and developmental growth through play-based interactions
• Implement individualized, relationship-based activities tailored to each client
• Support communication, emotional regulation, and social connection
• Encourage independence, self-expression, and choice-making
• Build strong relationships with clients and families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a nurturing, flexible, and supportive environment

What We’re Looking For

Developmental Interventionist Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (in a related field)
• Passion for working with children and supporting developmental growth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation required
• 1 year of experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DIR®/Floortime™, ABA, or early childhood development
• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental differences
