Job summary

Appalachian Community Services (ACS), an ncgCARE partner, is seeking compassionate, motivated Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide care, support, and companionship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

This fixed-rate position involves collaboration with a Team Leader and IDD Program Director, helping clients achieve their goals, completing required documentation, and growing within a mission‑driven

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Compassionate and caring attitude with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Physical ability to work in varied environments including stairs in private residences.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily living activities and skills development.
• Support clients in reaching personal goals per their PCP.
• Provide care, support, and companionship in home and community settings.
• Complete accurate documentation of services and follow care plans.
• Collaborate with Team Leader and IDD Program Director for guidance.
