Job summary

State of Nebraska is seeking a Psychologist for the Developmental Disabilities Division. The role involves psychological evaluation, testimony, and treatment planning to support Nebraskans.

Preferred candidates hold Nebraska licensure with a doctoral degree and may have provisional licensure. Travel to Lincoln/Omaha/Beatrice is required; on-site work with a standard 8–5 schedule and on-call rotation possible.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice psychology in Nebraska.
• Doctoral degree in psychology required.
• Licensure as Psychologist in Nebraska preferred but provisional licenses allowed.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Testifies at Developmental Disability Court Ordered Custody Hearings and renders diagnosis judgments.
• Provides information to law enforcement and legal system officials.
• May perform psychological evaluations and assessments.
• Provides psychological services including observations, evaluations, testing reviews, psychotherapy, and treatment planning.
• Serves as a consultant to staff for effective psychological programs.
• Manages treatment progress reviews and coordination as case manager.
