Description

The Development Writer is a key member of our fundraising team, focused on writing inspiring communications to inform and inspire prospective donors to give to Swedish to support our strategic priorities. Reporting to the Communications Director, you will collaborate closely with our fundraising and stewardship teams to write a variety of fundraising communications that convey how gifts support our mission to improve the health and well-being of each person we serve.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in preferred fields: Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing or a similar combination of skills and related experience
  • 3 years of professional writing experience
  • Experience conducting interviews, pre- and post-interview research, fact checking, and synthesizing a coherent, related and emotive story around a common theme or message
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in nonprofit fundraising communications in a hospital, academia, medical or research setting

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
