Aston Charles Ltd partner with a world-leading insurer to recruit a Development Underwriter. This newly-created role focuses on sourcing new business within the Care Insurance market, combining brokerage-facing growth with underwriting discipline and strong client management.

You will leverage existing broker relationships, attend networking events, and work closely with the Development Director to secure profitable schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting new business in commercial insurance.
• Proven ability to win new business in broker-facing roles.
• Strong communication and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite individual risks with underwriting discipline.
• Identify and secure scheme opportunities.
• Attend networking events to develop broker relationships.
• Provide input to the Head of Care and report on broker activity and new business production.
• Collaborate with Development Director to secure profitable new relationships.
