Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Development Test Engineer for Starshield to design and execute environmental tests on satellite systems. You will own test assets, lead bring-up and improvements of test stands, and work with mechanical, electrical, thermal, and launch teams to meet rigorous test requirements.

You will develop automated test processes, validate structures and mechanisms, and train technicians on test concepts and equipment to ensure flight-ready hardware for high-performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 1+ year experience with mechanical structures or academic research or design/analysis.
• Ambitious hands-on engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute static and dynamic environmental tests on satellite systems and components.
• Lead bring-up, commissioning, and improvement of test assets (TVAC chambers, shakers, stands).
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, thermal, launch and integration engineers to define testing requirements.
