Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA invites a Software Engineer to design and develop test software infrastructure for Starshield components. You will build modular automation, interact with flight hardware, and craft systems that ensure performance and reliability in extreme environments.

You will work on algorithms for data analysis, maintain automation tools, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver robust test solutions for production use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Development experience in C, C++, or Python; or full stack software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop modular, reusable test and automation software in Python for manufacturing and design verification.
• Write automation software to interact with flight hardware, test equipment, and production documentation systems.
• Develop custom automation solutions using embedded electronics and hardware.
• Create algorithms to analyze test data and verify acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automation infrastructure; define project plans and milestones.
