Job description

Development Technical Assistant- Charlotte, NC

Development Assistant is part of the Software Development team and reports to the VP of Software Development. The ideal candidate will be technically inclined, proficient with computers and software navigation, and effective at communicating technical concepts. In addition, strong organizational and time management skills are keys to success in this position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage documentation library including application user guides, FAQs, procedural documentation, R&D paperwork, and testing plans.
  • Manage intake for technical issues and requests and generate associated scheduling tasks.
  • Help manage scheduling and tasks for development team.
  • Assist in managing the OneNote knowledge base while keeping notes and meeting minutes filed and up-to-date.
  • Keep meeting notes, organize and record valuable information.
  • Execute software tests and record and compare resulting data to benchmark data. Create and distribute reported results of tests to development team members.
  • Monitor progress of assigned tasks and facilitate communication between team members when required to keep tasks on schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements

Technical Requirements:

  • Technically inclined. Good with computers and software navigation.
  • Effective at communicating technical concepts.
  • Must be able to quickly learn new software.
  • Skilled with MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Organized and skilled in planning and time-management activities
  • Technical writing skills preferred.

Required Experience:

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but an Associate’s degree will be considered. Technical writing skills.

Required: Microsoft office suite, organizational and time management skills.
