Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering is seeking a Development Specialist to provide administrative and operational support for the Development Office. You will assist with endowment processes, donor records, and preparation of materials for major gifts.

You will supervise the Development Associate and collaborate with multiple university departments to coordinate donor visits, events and stewardship activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting a multi-faceted team and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Cockrell Development Team, including travel arrangements and reimbursements.
• Assist with endowment creation, compliance, and donor records management.
• Coordinate donor records across departments and train staff on the electronic system.
• Draft letters, proposals and reports for major donors; prepare acknowledgement materials.
• Support the development associate and collaborate with colleagues for donor visits and events.
• Assist with endowment agreements and internal approvals; support stewardship activities.
