Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Transportation is seeking a Development Services Technician with strong customer service and administrative skills to support permit reviews and data entry in a fast-paced office. You will review applications, explain permit steps, coordinate with internal teams, process fees, and maintain databases.

Two years of clerical experience and a high school diploma are required; a college background may substitute.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED; combination with post-secondary education and/or experience may substitute.
  • Experience in permit-issuing environments is valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming applications for completeness and apply MCDOT permitting regulations.
  • Advise applicants on permit approvals and progress of applications.
  • Coordinate reviews with internal department disciplines.
  • Process customer permit fees and extension requests.
  • Establish and maintain customer data and enter information into databases.
  • Research, collect, and analyze data as assigned.
