Qualifications

Clean and maintain equipment as needed* Perform traffic control activities as needed; report safety hazards; perform tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergencies* Load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment, and deliver to job sites as directed* Performs other duties as assigned or required**Working Conditions*** Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly* Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration* Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel* The work will occur in an office and field environment. While performing the duties and responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations. Position is subject to atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation**Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software, and Hardware**The position generally conducts business out in the field utilizing various hand tools for numerous construction and maintenance duties, including shovels, rakes, pickaxes, brooms, and varying-sized electric and hand tools. Familiarity with four-wheel-drive capabilities and self-recovery winching techniques will occasionally be needed.**Protective Equipment Required**Fieldwork will often be conducted in remote locations under potentially extreme weather environments. Attire for the position will be provided and maintained by Maricopa County and has the potential for general construction and/or field inspection PPE required to perform duties daily.
