Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is seeking a Development Services Technician to deliver comprehensive customer support and oversee permit processes. The role supports public services and observes project progress to ensure timely outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a background in office duties and strong attention to detail, with a focus on accurate data handling and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and clerical duties.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming applications for completeness and apply MCDOT permitting regulations and procedures.
  • Advise applicants on permit approvals and progress of applications, while providing quality customer service.
  • Coordinate reviews with all internal department disciplines.
  • Process customer permit fees and extension requests.
  • Establish and maintain customer data and enter information into databases.
  • Research, collect, and analyze data as assigned.
  • Other job duties as assigned

We Require

Working Conditions
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, or requires walking or standing to a significant degree

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
