Job summary

Maricopa County Planning and Development is seeking a Development Service Technician to greet customers, gather information, and guide users through the permitting system. The role focuses on administrative and coordination tasks in a busy office environment.

The position requires two years of administrative experience and a high school diploma or GED. A combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.

Qualifications

  • Two years of administrative experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualification on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers at the Planning and Development reception area or over the phone.
  • Gather relevant information from customers and call down the appropriate on-call team member.
  • Provide online guidance for setting up accounts, uploading revised plans, and/or online payments within the Planning and Development Permitting System.
  • Provide administrative support by returning email/phone inquiries to customers.
  • Process permit extensions, cancellations, and modifications within the Planning and Development Permitting System.
  • Support the Management Analyst as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
