Job description

At Integrated Power USA, we're helping shape the future of energy in North America. As TotalEnergies' integrated power platform, we develop, build, operate, and grow a diverse portfolio of solar, wind, battery storage, and flexible generation assets that deliver reliable, affordable, and lower-carbon electricity across the United States & Canada.

Backed by the global ambition of TotalEnergies to accelerate the energy transition, Integrated Power USA is rapidly expanding a portfolio of approximately 35 GW of renewable, storage, and thermal generation projects that are operating, under construction, or in development. From developing innovative energy solutions to navigating some of the country's most dynamic power markets, our teams are at the forefront of building a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

Joining Integrated Power USA means working alongside talented professionals who are passionate about innovation, collaboration, safety, and making a real impact. Together, we're powering communities, advancing the energy transition, and creating the energy system of tomorrow.

The Development Product Owner position operates at the intersection of renewable energy project development, business process, data, and technology. The role supports teams responsible for identifying, evaluating, advancing, and managing projects by ensuring digital capabilities improve execution without creating unnecessary complexity or dependency on a single technology.

The position works across functions and levels of the organization in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and evolving business needs. Success requires sound judgment, clear prioritization, and solutions that are usable, governed, scalable, and supportable.

Travel may be required periodically to support workshops, vendor engagements, project-team collaboration, or other business needs.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, GIS, Data Analytics, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience:Typically 5-10+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, business systems, digital solutions, process improvement, project delivery, GIS or spatial technology, data and analytics, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business needs into clear requirements, prioritized roadmaps, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Experience serving as an effective interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, including internal IT or Business Applications teams, software vendors, developers, integrators, or consultants.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives through discovery, design, testing, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of digital product management, system integrations, data flows, user access, software lifecycle considerations, and governance concepts sufficient to guide business decisions and collaborate effectively with technical specialists.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CRM, project management software, geospatial platforms, business intelligence tools, workflow automation, cloud environments, data platforms, or AI-enabled technologies. Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, Power Platform, QGIS or other GIS technologies, Databricks, or comparable enterprise solutions is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, project development, real estate, energy markets, or another data-intensive and cross-functional business environment preferred.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset, analytical judgment, initiative, organization, and ability to prioritize competing needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-influence skills, including the ability to explain business needs to technical audiences and technical considerations to business users.
  • High degree of autonomy, proactivity, adaptability, and ability to operate effectively in a demanding and international environment.
  • Fluent in English; French proficiency is a plus.
Activities:
  • Product Ownership & Roadmap Management:Serve as business product owner for Development digital products, systems, and workflows; define product vision, outcomes, priorities, backlogs, roadmaps, releases, and enhancement sequencing; and communicate decisions, risks, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Data, Analytics & Development Intelligence:Define business requirements for dashboards, key performance indicators, data products, visualization, and decision-support capabilities. Support alignment of data definitions, ownership, source-of-truth expectations, and governance across Development systems. Promote accessible and reliable information for project screening, land and site-control activities, portfolio management, workflow monitoring, and leadership reporting.
  • Geospatial & Technical Enablement:Partner with GIS and other subject matter experts to define requirements for mapping, spatial analysis, site evaluation, web-based tools, and related data workflows. Treat geospatial capability as one component of the broader Development digital toolkit and support its integration with business systems, analytics, automation, and future intelligence solutions.
  • Emerging Technology & Innovation:Evaluate practical applications of artificial intelligence, cloud capabilities, low-code or no-code platforms, data platforms, open-source technologies, and other emerging tools. Develop business cases or pilots where appropriate, define controls and human-review expectations, and promote responsible adoption based on clear business value, security, governance, scalability, and supportability.
  • Stakeholder, Vendor & Change Management:Build working relationships across Development, GIS, Real Estate, M&A, Engineering, Execution, Business Applications, IT, Data Governance, and other partner functions. Facilitate workshops, vendor evaluations, implementation activities, user communications, training needs, adoption feedback, and transition of new capabilities into sustained business use.
  • Governance, Documentation & Product Lifecycle:Maintain product documentation, process ownership records, decision logs, release information, user guidance, and governance records. Support software selection, procurement, access governance, risk reviews, data protection, cybersecurity review, lifecycle planning, and periodic assessment of product performance, adoption, technical debt, and business value.
