Job Description

Provides support to the Manufacturing and Product Development organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, optimize new and existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met. Monitors and develops the performance of equipment, machines, and tools, and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues. Interfaces with Quality and Research & Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing and new manufacturing areas.

Core Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
2. Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes, for current and next-generation programs, aligning with strategic goals. Prepare reports, publish findings, and present results.
3. Analyze and solve problems using basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts, including complex and advanced issues requiring innovative approaches or breakthroughs.
4. Understand engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques. Develop expertise in a specialized field and apply this knowledge in leadership roles.
5. Incorporate business policies and procedures into task completion. Understand the business needs of the company and customer requirements, and stay informed about emerging technology trends.
6. Cultivate internal and external networks of resources to complete tasks. Lead or mentor team members, sharing technical expertise and providing feedback.
7. Interact cross-functionally and with internal and external customers. Serve as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and act as a spokesperson regarding capabilities.

Supervision and Influence

Work is closely supervised, following detailed instructions. Develops a network of internal resources and influences peers. Completes daily work to schedule with guidance from supervisors. Exercises authority within pre-established limits, with minimal impact on schedules if results are not achieved.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree plus 2-5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Basic understanding of the functional area, performed within a quality system environment, with awareness of governmental regulations.

Skills and Knowledge

Basic technical knowledge, understanding of business unit functions, and the ability to solve routine problems using professional concepts and company policies.
