Job summary

Open Space Institute in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Development Operations Associate to support donor management and fundraising operations. You will manage gift entry, acknowledgments, and donor records, coordinating across departments to ensure accurate recording and timely communications.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development Operations & Events, you will maintain Raiser’s Edge, generate reports, and produce tax receipts while assisting with development activities and mailings.

Qualifications

• Ability to think and act autonomously.
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated writing skills for donor correspondence.
• Excellent formatting skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to meet reasonable deadlines and plan accordingly.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Maintain confidentiality of privileged information.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming funds and reconcile gifts with Finance.
• Manage Raiser’s Edge gift entry and maintain gift tracking.
• Record non-cash gifts with Finance/Legal collaboration.
• Coordinate designations and donor records across departments.
• Pull and enter online gifts into RE within a week of receipt.
• Produce fundraising reports from RE and prepare tax receipts.
• Craft gift acknowledgements and manage donor inquiries.
• Maintain donor notes and proposals in the CRM.
• Provide RE training and support for staff.
