Nyhistory in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Director for the Development Department to oversee Tessitura donor data, reporting, analytics, and gift processing. The role interfaces with Finance and leads a small team to drive fundraising across exhibitions, programs, and endowment initiatives.

The position focuses on building dashboards, improving data quality, and guiding data-driven decisions while supporting operations and special projects through the fiscal year.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversight of donor database (Tessitura); gift and biographical records management; gift processing and reporting.
• Lead Tessitura reports, dashboards, and analytics; troubleshoot system issues and stay current with updates.
• Collaborate with VP to track revenue projections and year-end closings; create dashboards as needed.
• Develop analytics on fundraising trends; build predictive models and visualize results for decision making.
• Lead AI integrations in Tessitura when available and recommend automation opportunities.
• Produce mailing lists and reports; maintain data integrity and SOPs; supervise gift processor.
