Job summary

Akina Inc. is seeking a Development Operations Engineer 1 to support the integrated watchfloor in a 24/7 environment from Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities include incident triage, first-contact resolution, and SPOC duties between service providers and users.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, Linux/containerization expertise, and recent Kubernetes experience. Rotating 12-hour shifts and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps.
• Recent experience within the last three (3) years in Kubernetes, cluster orchestration, and containerization.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
• May substitute two years' experience with a Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I/II support for the integrated watchfloor capability within a 24×7/365 operational environment.
• Serve as SPOC between the service provider and operational users.
• Capture, log, categorize, and prioritize incidents via a standardized ticketing system.
• Cover the watch floor when not elsewhere.
• Perform initial diagnosis using established knowledge bases and incident models.
• Attempt first-contact resolution for standard issues.
• Escalate unresolved incidents to Tier II support.
• Maintain incident status communication with users throughout resolution lifecycle.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolution actions to expand knowledge base.

Description:

Provide Tier I/II support for the integrated watchfloor capability within a 24×7/365 operational environment.

Serve as single point of contact (SPOC) between the service provider and operational users.

Capture, log, categorize, and prioritize all incidents via a standardized ticketing system.

Cover the watch floor when not elsewhere.

Perform initial diagnosis using established knowledge bases and incident models.

Attempt first-contact resolution for standard issues (password resets, account access, basic navigation, known errors).

Escalate unresolved incidents to Tier II support via functional escalation procedures.

Maintain incident status communication with users throughout the resolution lifecycle.

Document all troubleshooting steps and resolution actions to populate and expand the knowledge base.

Provide 24/7/365 coverage via rotating 12-hour shifts (0500 and 1700 daily), aligning with 2-week rotation schedules.

Salary Range: $166k-$203k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
