Affordable Living for the Aging (ALA) in California is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA member to help grow fundraising and expand marketing efforts for aging services.

The Development & Marketing VISTA will research foundations and corporate funders, build pipelines, create outreach templates, and develop a Google Ad Grant strategy for ongoing staff use. Program runs 11/16/2026–11/15/2027; full-time.

Qualifications

• College graduate required.
• Strong communications and outreach abilities.
• Experience in fundraising or marketing is a plus.

Established in 1978, Affordable Living for the Aging (ALA) is a nonprofit organization that provides intensive case management and affordable housing for seniors, the homeless, and other high-acuity populations in Los Angeles. Our mission is to provide housing and health equity regardless of age, income, and race. Our programs include: - Affordable Housing - Permanent Supportive Housing - Shared Housing - Enhanced Care Management (healthcare access and support) The AmeriCorps VISTA member will help grow ALA's existing fundraising programs by researching public and corporate funders and identifying aging coalitions.

Member Duties :

Fundraising: Research prospective foundation and corporate funding opportunities and develop prospect tracking systems to support ALA's fundraising efforts. Develop a corporate giving partnership strategy, prospect pipeline, outreach templates, and tracking tools for ALA staff to use in cultivating corporate giving and employee-match opportunities. Marketing: Research and develop marketing strategies, messaging frameworks, and communications tools to strengthen ALA’s visibility, brand awareness, and community engagement. Develop a Google Ad Grant strategy, including keyword research, campaign frameworks, performance tracking tools, and implementation guides to support ongoing management by ALA staff.
