Job summary

Playworks NYNJ is seeking a Development Manager to execute the organization’s fund development strategy and oversee grants, stewardship, and donor relations. You will manage a portfolio of partners, write grant proposals, and coordinate with the National Development Team to meet fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in development, fundraising operations, account management, or related nonprofit roles.
• Proven success writing and securing foundation, corporate, and/or government grants, with full grant lifecycle experience.
• Experience managing donor relationships and achieving fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined portfolio of corporate, foundation, and individual partners with renewals, stewardship, and growth.
• Steward and upgrade corporate grants, sponsorships, and engagement opportunities.
• Coordinate regional fundraising with the National Development Team and support grant coordination and reporting.
• Lead grant writing, proposals, and reporting for foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Support planning and execution of organizational events and meetings; provide project management support.
