Job summary

City Year Rhode Island is seeking a Development Manager to provide administrative, event, and project support for the Development Department. You will assist with operations, database management, donor stewardship, and communications efforts in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This role reports to the Director of Development and involves working in a hybrid on-site/remote setting with a focus on building relationships, managing events including the annual gala, and coordinating

Qualifications

• 1–3 years database software experience (Salesforce or similar).
• Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Administrative and event management experience using MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process gifts and record pledges.
• Assist with database updates and clean-up.
• Generate monthly pledge reminders.
• Process development mailings.
• Maintain Salesforce data fidelity with regular updates.
• Prepare correspondence and administrative tasks.
