Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced events coordinator to support nonprofit fundraising initiatives. You will manage event platforms, track metrics, and assist with vendor invoices while ensuring flawless execution across markets.

The role requires 3–5 years in Peer-to-Peer fundraising, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel up to 30% for on-site support during pre-event and event days. A valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Peer-to-Peer Event fundraising.
  • Ability to step in to all aspects of event execution with little direction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with fundraising and donor management platforms such as Blackbaud, Luminate Online, and other tools used by staff and event participants.
  • Technical aptitude with event platforms, CRM systems, and data entry tools.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and your own reliable transportation with the ability to travel within assigned area 30% of the time for meetings and conferences, as well as the flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends with some overnights required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. (event supplies)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for event online platforms and tools to ensure seamless execution of event initiatives.
  • Track campaign metrics, revenue, and expense reports to support informed decision making and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with processing campaign related vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as a flexible interim local staff member for markets during staffing gaps, including sponsor deliverables, volunteer recruitment, coaching, and event logistics.
  • Assist with managing essential event-related tasks to ensure fundraising outcomes during peak periods.
  • Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and communication of event-day volunteers.
  • Travel as required (up to 30%) to provide on-site support for markets.
  • Collaborate with nationwide Development team and Market Leads to maintain revenue goals and donor engagement.

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing essential event-related tasks to ensure fundraising outcomes during peak event periods or staffing transitions.
  • Support the recruitment, training, scheduling, and communication of event-day volunteers.
  • Travel as required (up to 30%) to provide on-site support for markets experiencing staffing gaps during pre-event and event-day periods.
