Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Development Management Associate to support delivery of new data center campuses from concept to completion. You will manage cross-functional workstreams, facilitate meetings, and implement program processes and dashboards for leadership awareness.

The role requires a 4-year degree and at least 2 years in real estate/development, with strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Requires a 4-year degree in business, finance, real estate, economics or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in real estate investment/development, site selection or related real estate or investment experience.
  • Excellent communication (listening, verbal and written), attention to detail and team skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the project management of activities from initial stage through data center completion.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communications, meetings and project activities to ensure successful development.
  • Coordinate multiple projects in various stages and ensure milestones are met on time.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration from initiation to pre-construction approvals.

Job description

The Development Management Associate will play a critical role in supporting the Development Management team in the successful delivery of new data center campuses from initial project stage through completion. Activities will include project management of cross-functional workstreams, facilitation of communications and meetings across internal teams, identification and implementation of program management processes and tools, and development of communication protocols to ensure leadership and project team awareness of project risks and progress. Additionally, the Development Management Associate coordinates project management activities alongside the Land Acquisition, Power, Investment, Legal, Sales, Design/Engineering and Construction teams.Responsibilities:Support the project management of project activities from initial stage through data center completion.Facilitates cross-functional communications, meetings and project activities to ensure successful data center development.Responsible for coordinating multiple projects in various stages of the development continuum. Ensuring that assigned workflow is being achieved and that tasks and milestones are being reached in a timely fashion.Facilitates cross-departmental collaboration from project initiation, closing, and securing pre-construction entitlements and approvals.Facilitates document management and document control for important milestones throughout a project life cycle.Preparation of dashboards and presentations for Senior Management TeamParticipates in and supports executive presentations.Build and publish recurring portfolio dashboards and the monthly executive reporting package.Take meeting minutes, publish them promptly, and chase action items through to closure.Collaborative Work Management Platform:Maintains project information in collaborative work management platform current and up to date.Build and maintain project boards and the portfolio roll-up — groups, status columns, item and subitem hierarchies, and connected boards with mirror columns so project data rolls up without re-keying.Configure dependencies and timeline/Gantt views, including baselines and critical path, and keep them synchronized with the master schedule.Build dashboards and widgets for portfolio-level reporting to project managers and executives.Create and maintain intake forms for project requests, change requests, and RFIs, so work enters the system one consistent way.Set up automations and notifications for due dates, status changes, and approvals - and prune the ones that generate noise.Govern board templates, permissions, and data hygiene across all projects: audit for stale items, missing owners, and blank required fields.Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years ’ experience in real estate investment/development, site selection or related real estate or investment experience.Strong understanding of real estate, valuation, capital markets and deal structuring.Highly analytical, organized and disciplined with proven time management skills.Team oriented with the ability to work independently while being driven for success.Excellent communication (listening, verbal and written), attention to detail and team skills.Education/Certifications:Requires 4-year degree; preference is for business, finance, real estate, economics or related field.Why Join Us?:Be part of the rapidly growing data center industry powering the world’s digital infrastructureCollaborative environment focused on commitment, accountability, respect and excellenceComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, life and disability insurance, access to mental health resources and employee assistance programCompetitive pay, performance bonus, 401(k) retirement plan with company matchGenerous paid time off and holidays#LI-LC1#LI-HybridCyrusOne is an equal opportunity employer.
