Job summary

The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL), a private nonprofit organization in Louisville, KY, seeks a Senior Director, Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy and expand NCFL's national impact.

You will oversee all fundraising avenues—individual giving, corporate partnerships, foundations, and competitive public sector funding—driving strategy, cultivating donors, and partnering with the President & CEO and senior leadership to sustain NCFL's programs and mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in fundraising with success in securing $1,000,000+ gifts.
• Experience in education, literacy, or family-centered organizations is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead a high-performing development team and drive excellence and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to meet annual revenue goals.
• Identify new opportunities for revenue growth, including major gifts and competitive funding sources.
• Cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, corporate partners, and donors.
• Solicit key donors with tailored strategies aligned to NCFL's mission.
• Oversee donor stewardship, communications, recognition, and impact reporting.
• Develop proposals and presentations to secure multi-year and transformational gifts.
• Collaborate with NCFL teams to align funder engagement with initiatives.
• Participate in strategic planning as part of the senior leadership team.
