Job summary

River Heritage Conservancy seeks an Associate Director of Development to lead grant writing, donor relations, and project oversight. You will craft proposals, manage grants from submission to reporting, and supervise donor data systems to support fundraising strategy.

You will partner with leadership to align initiatives with organizational priorities, cultivate funders, and train staff on CRM usage while driving data-informed decisions that advance conservation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in nonprofit management, communications, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of grant writing and fundraising experience with a proven track record.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using donor databases/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement grant-writing strategies and manage the full lifecycle of grants from submission to compliance.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with funders; manage donor engagement and reporting.
• Oversee development projects and coordinate with departments to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Maintain and optimize donor CRM systems to track interactions, generate insights, and train staff.
