Job summary

Yosemite Rivers Alliance is seeking a Director of Development to lead a fundraising strategy across individuals, foundations, corporate partners, and government sources. You will supervise a two-person development team and report to the Executive Director, driving monthly performance targets.

The role requires 7–10 years of nonprofit fundraising, proven major gift success, grant-writing experience, and CRM proficiency.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive nonprofit fundraising experience, including direct major gift solicitation.
• Demonstrated success closing five- and six-figure gifts.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
• Track record of managing to metrics — budgets, forecasts, and dashboards.
• Grant writing and institutional funder management experience.
• Proficiency with CRM/donor databases and fundraising analytics.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills; comfort as a public face of the organization.
• Willingness to travel within California, esp. SF Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive development plan aligned to organizational goals and budget.
• Manage the development department budget and ROI by channel.
• Set annual and monthly revenue goals; track pipeline and report on progress.
• Lead a portfolio of major donors and stewardship efforts.
• Oversee foundation/government funder strategy and corporate partnerships.
