Job summary

Richmond Waldorf School in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Development Coordinator to lead fundraising, grants, and communications. You will work with the Development Committee, manage annual report, campaigns, and donor stewardship, and coordinate with the Director of Enrollment and Development.

The role emphasizes alum relations, event planning, and collaboration with parents associations, while maintaining records, producing timely reports, and expanding community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, communications, nonprofit studies, education).
• 3 years’ experience in development coordination or fundraising in a school setting.
• Fundraising, grant reporting and donor stewardship experience.
• Understanding of Waldorf education preferred.
• Strong communication and marketing experience in schools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual fundraising plan with the Development Committee.
• Manage annual report creation and distribution.
• Create and distribute fundraising outreach via mail and email.
• Track progress toward fundraising goals and report to the community.
• Coordinate communications strategy across school channels.
• Develop alum relations and coordinate with senior leadership.
• Plan and coordinate school events and community enrichment series.
• Liaise with Parents Association and volunteers.
• Submit timely reports and manage relationships with contractors.
