Job summary

Electric Hydrogen is seeking a Development Engineer to lead the technical development of green hydrogen, blue hydrogen, and e‑Fuel projects from concept through Final Investment Decision. You will coordinate with internal technology and project execution groups and with external resources to drive technical deliverables.

This role requires hands‑on engineering and project development experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑moving environment

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of engineering and project development experience in energy sectors.
  • Experience in natural gas, blue hydrogen, carbon capture, or low‑carbon industrial projects through milestones.
  • Understanding of permitting, site selection, utility coordination, and related diligence.
  • Familiarity with carbon intensity, emissions accounting, and CO2 transport/storage incentives.
  • Strong project management and ability to handle multiple workstreams.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, finance, policy, and operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management to inform external partners.
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day technical activities for green/blue hydrogen and other low‑carbon projects from concept to FID.
  • Serve as the primary interface with internal and external technology and project groups.
  • Prepare deliverables such as plot plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Lead technical components of grid interconnection, permits, and water/natural gas requests.
  • Support customer and counterparty engagement, including proposals and due diligence packs.
  • Coordinate external technical resources and develop execution plans with FEED and EPC considerations.
  • Monitor market developments and assist in project financing and lender diligence.
