Job summary

United Way Quad Cities seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising strategy and the Resource Development team. The CDO will be an ambassador and relationship-builder, engaging individual, corporate, government, and nonprofit partners in the Quad Cities.

This is a key leadership role that focuses on expanding giving, strengthening partnerships, and delivering donor experiences that reflect the impact of charitable commitments across education, financial security, and health.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strategic leadership, team development, and fundraising experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain a strong team.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build fundraising strategy and a comprehensive plan for growing contributed revenue.
• Expand individual giving and major gifts while broadening donor networks.
• Grow corporate and workplace partnerships with Quad Cities employers.
• Create a donor experience that informs, engages and retains supporters.
• Lead the Resource Development team with coaching, clear priorities and accountability.
