Job summary

Posse Los Angeles seeks a Development Director to drive revenue goals in coordination with the site director and national team. You will build strategies for expanded funding, identify and solicit donors, and oversee grant documentation and audits.

Responsibilities include creating an annual plan with a $3M budget, cultivating corporate and foundation relationships, and coordinating with advisory boards and the national team on events and donor outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Seven years minimum in development fundraising.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task, manage concurrent processes/projects.

• Work with advisory board members to expand network of Posse supporters in Los Angeles
• Work with national development team to plan fundraising events and develop strategy for soliciting corporate donations for events.
• Work with external relations to produce and distribute collateral to engage community of supporters.

Job description

The development director is an essential part of the Posse Los Angeles development effort. The development director is responsible for working with the site director and with Posse's national development team to meet annual revenue goals. The development director, in coordination with the national development team will plan, manage, and coordinate the site's development efforts including building new strategies for expanded funding, identifying, cultivating and soliciting donors. The development director sends thank you letters and other correspondence, plans events, solicits corporate donations for events, and ensures all necessary documents for grants management and audit purposes are properly filed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
