Job summary

Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs is seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising strategy and revenue growth. You will manage gifts from individuals, law firms, corporations, and foundations, while building systems, budgets, and a high-performance development team.

You will oversee data integrity in Raiser's Edge, drive major gifts, and collaborate with the Executive Director and board on strategic campaigns.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years nonprofit development experience, including direct staff supervision.
• Hands-on fundraising generalist experience: institutional giving, major gifts, donor relations, events, and online giving.
• Fluency with Raiser's Edge CRM and related donor data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead data integrity in the CRM and develop a robust development calendar.
• Build grant budgets, track pipelines, and provide revenue reporting to leadership.
• Design and manage development plans across individuals, law firms, corporations, and foundations.
• Partner with the Executive Director and board on major philanthropic campaigns.
• Oversee fundraising events and donor stewardship programs.
• Champion AI adoption to improve efficiency and donor outreach.
