Job summary

The American Heart Association in Modesto is seeking a Development Director for a hybrid role. You will drive revenue across Impact Campaigns and Heart Walk, coordinating field activity and office work to maximize donor engagement and funds raised.

This full‑time, grant‑funded position offers a base salary with an incentive up to 25% of base pay, plus benefits and access to Heart U training for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related fields

Responsibilities

• Directly drive peer‑to‑peer and participant income fundraising strategies to achieve overall revenue goals.
• Recruit, engage and recognize high‑level volunteers for participation in local fundraising campaigns.
• Identify and network with key donors and volunteers, collaborating with staff to increase campaign income.
• Organize local donor cultivation events and manage event logistics both digitally and in‑person.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align with vision and goals and provide consistent fundraising support.
• Drive Heart Walk participation through company recruitment and goal‑setting.
