Job summary

Ballet Hispánico, the nation’s leading American Latino dance company, seeks a new Director of Development in New York City. This senior fundraising leader will guide donor cultivation, annual campaigns, and governance partnerships, while expanding support from individuals, foundations, and sponsors.

Based in Manhattan with a hybrid work model, the Director will lead a small team and collaborate closely with the executive team to advance Ballet Hispánico’s mission and community impact through

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible leadership experience in nonprofit institutions, preferably performing/arts.
• Experience managing major gifts and donor pipelines.
• Ability to partner with senior leadership and boards.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy and annual plan for Ballet Hispánico.
• Cultivate and solicit major gifts and donors; manage donor relationships.
• Oversee events (gala and fundraising programs) and institutional giving.
• Supervise development staff and manage budget and systems for donor tracking.
