Job summary

International Art Project Foundation in Miami seeks a hands-on development professional to build our fundraising engine and lead donor cultivation. You will liaise with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, foundations, and sponsors, guiding moves-management and closing gifts with the CEO involved on the largest asks.

This ground-floor role sits with a board and a growing pipeline, especially around Art Basel Miami Week, and helps lay groundwork for a major capital campaign while expanding

Qualifications

• 5+ years frontline fundraising experience.
• Track record of closing gifts and sponsorships.
• Active Miami network in social, art, philanthropic or civic circles.
• Comfort with HNW/UHNW and family-office environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-directed pipeline ownership.
• Based in Miami.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the Miami prospect pipeline into a working portfolio of 75 to 100 prospects: HNW/UHNW individuals, family offices, foundations, and corporate sponsors. Run a rigorous moves-management system in the CRM with current records, notes, and next steps.
• Identify and qualify new names through art world, civic, and philanthropic networks, against an annual qualification goal set with the CEO.
• Move prospects from qualification to cultivation. Close mid-level gifts yourself; cultivate the largest for the CEO to close, and schedule the meetings, dinners, and walk-throughs that get him in front of the right prospect at the right time.
• Steward donors: acknowledgment, named recognition, field-photo packages, annual updates, ongoing engagement.
• Build and manage the patron and sponsor program around the Emerging Artists Award and IAP's broader work, and close corporate sponsors for it.
• Develop partnerships with the nonprofits IAP funds and with the museums, galleries, and cultural institutions that extend IAP's reach, structured with the CEO to serve both mission and development goals.
• Represent IAP across the Miami cultivation calendar: gallery openings, civic and DDA functions, foundation dinners, galas, and Art Basel week. Attend and represent; you do not produce or staff events. Leave every event with documented next steps in the CRM.
• Lay the groundwork for the future capital campaign for the Art and Impact Cultural Center, and partner with the CEO on case-for-support materials.
• Meet bi-weekly with the CEO (30 minutes) with a brief executive summary: pipeline movement, qualified handoffs, closes, opportunities, red flags.
