Greater Cleveland Food Bank is seeking a data and philanthropy professional to provide analytics support for Development/Philanthropy teams. You will manage dashboards, reconcile with finance, handle data requests, budgeting, and forecasting, and assist with gift processing as needed.

The role focuses on driving strategic donor engagement, improving reporting processes, and supporting year-end and event-related fundraising activities.

Qualifications

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing project and analytics support to all Development/Philanthropy teams in order to drive strategic decision-making and donor engagement. This includes managing dashboards, monthly and annual reconciliation with finance, the department’s data request queue, departmental budgeting and revenue forecasting, and other fundraising analysis. This position will also support Philanthropy’s gift processing efforts as needed.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

• Develop, manage, and deliver timely and accurate reports, dashboards, and donor analytics to support a variety of metrics around fundraising progress, campaign management, peer group benchmarks, key performance indicators, and more.
• Assist Sr Manager, Data and Philanthropy Operations with quarterly and annual Feeding America reporting, and other projects as needed.
• Maintain existing custom dashboards and reports in Raiser’s Edge CRM and PowerBI, making updates as needed and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Manage departmental data project and reporting requests to identify and deliver timely, pertinent outputs to team members, including fundraisers and leadership team.
• Prepare development information for financial audits, state solicitation registration and reports, Form 990, and other fundraising-related data support for and with staff of the accounting department.
• Extract, clean, format, and validate donor data for direct marketing, other external vendors, and other Food Bank departments as needed.
• Assist departmental budgeting and reforecast process by maintaining monthly progress reporting, providing yearly revenue projection/analysis, and working with frontline fundraisers to identify top donors and prospects.
• Oversee department monthly and yearly reconciliation reporting process, working closely with the accounting team to resolve variances and ensure fundraising totals balance with accounting.
• Provide support to the gift processing team as needed (i.e. provide coverage and assist with various processing tasks when colleagues are on PTO and assist as needed during the peak holiday season).
• Assist donors who contact Donor Services via phone or email by responding to the Development Queue.
• Provide support of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s two signature events (Market at the Food Bank and Taste of the Browns) and the Annual Meeting by assisting with set-up, completing assigned duties at the event and helping with clean-up.
• Actively support and champion initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. May participate in one of the following: LEAN council, a kaizen, 5S campaign or other process improvement efforts to support continuous improvement and improved processes within the food bank.
• Reports to Sr. Manager, Data and Philanthropy Operations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

No supervisory or lead responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 3 years of fundraising CRM system experience required, or 5+ years of fundraising CRM system experience and/or training in lieu of a degree; or equivalent combination of education and fundraising CRM/database experience required. Raiser’s Edge experience preferred. Experience with reporting, maintaining, and/or analyzing fundraising data (or comparable client, sales, or revenue data) required. Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects is preferred. Power BI and/or Tableau experience is a plus. Proficiency in Windows-based computer software is required.

Strong attention to detail and prioritization, effective multitasking and analytical thinking skills, basic mathematical ability, strong interpersonal communication, and ability to work in a team atmosphere. Understanding of fundraising operations, donor stewardship, and principles of philanthropy preferred. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary. Required commitment to valuing different backgrounds and experiences and contributing to a work environment that does the same, as demonstrated through work, life or community experience.

Physical Requirements and Environment

Ability to remain in a near constant stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. frequently. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Occasional ability to ascend/descend stairs to access workspaces. Occasional ability to position or move body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment. Ability to constantly exchange accurate information and communicate in person or via telephone with clients, partners, donors, coworkers and other members of the community. Must be able to constantly view a computer screen. Ability to move office equipment/supplies on seldom occasions. Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience
